The Final Run

Abby led the tired stallion away from the track. His breath fogged in the chilled air and steam rolled off his back. This moment should have come so much sooner, but the staff could hardly imagine a world without Horse on the track.

Now, he was tired and ready to be retired. He had performed much better than expected and had finished off his career in style, plowing down the competition in the Thames Cup to win by 1 1/2 furlongs. He had run extra hard, as if he knew this race would be his last.

Abby had a hard time even looking at the stallion as he was lead away from the track. "Abby, he's lame!" It was Daniel.

The vet was called immedietly and determined that he had simply pulled a muscle. Lucky for Horse, he would be able to enjoy a long, happy life.

Horse was the first Maiden that I rode that I became a stable jockey for in G1 Jockey 3. I almost cried when I retired him. But now, its time for him to sire more big winners. His record is 27/32, he earned $5,975,000, and retires with 16365 points. Meaning, he's made it to the G1 Jockey Hall of Fame. I'm so proud of him! His final HARPG sheet will be here soon.
